Responsibilities
Revenue Accounting Dentention Specialists are responsible for determining and applying detention charges.
- Analyze freight bills to determine appropriate detention charges
- Utilize tools for calculation of detention while adhering to rules and contracts
- Respond to customer disputes on detention charge calculation
- Audit accounts and resolve problems
- Respond to internal and external customer’s inquiries via phone or email
- Continuously improve processes
Qualifications
2 years of related accounting, logistics or transportation experience
Associates Degree in Accounting is a plus, but not required
- Experience in transportation highly recommended, but not required
Strong organization skills
Attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skills
Ability to identify and manage project and continuous improvement initiatives
