Key Responsibilities:
The Stamp and Packing Lead (Manufacturing) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Stamp/Package department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality in stamping and packaging processes. This position requires strong leadership skills to guide a team, enforce quality standards, and coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow.
- Supervise and lead Pack and Stamp team members to meet production goals.
- Train and mentor employees on stamping, labeling, and packaging procedures.
- Operate VideoJet inkjet printers, rubber stamps, AutoBaggers, and label printers to ensure correct part identification.
- Ensure all labels, barcodes, and lot numbers align with work orders and customer specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to prevent mislabeling, incorrect packaging, or damaged parts.
- Monitor and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Work closely with Shipping and Warehouse teams to streamline order fulfillment and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory tracking to support production reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for department-related inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure team adherence to all DG safety procedures as outlined by company policies and the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret work orders, labeling instructions, and production guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including label printing and barcode scanning systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Must be able to stand, lift (up to 30 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to lead and collaborate effectively.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating VideoJet inkjet printers, AutoBaggers, and Label Printers.
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing procedures and quality control processes.
- Experience with inventory tracking and reporting.
