Objective:
Manage the Quality Department by overseeing daily operations, developing policies, and optimizing resources.
- Ensure safe work practices and promote safety.
- Direct product testing and part inspections during production.
- Monitor and improve quality control systems.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to production teams.
- Communicate quality information across departments and vendors.
- Oversee inspections and coordinate activities with other departments.
- Review reports to assess productivity and identify improvement areas.
- Manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
- Plan and manage budgets to maximize efficiency.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and objectives.
- Handle hiring, training, and staffing needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Preferred: 2-year degree and 3 years of related experience. Quality certification is a plus.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of quality control, production processes, customer service, and management principles.
- Proficient in math, computers, and English communication
- Active listening and clear communication.
- Coordination, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Time management and personnel resource management.
- Problem-solving and performance monitoring.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting (5–30 lbs.; up to 40 lbs. with aids for heavier items).
- Requires reaching, twisting, and pushing/pulling.
- Work involves extended periods with arms extended and forward bending.
Environmental Exposure:
- Oil, grease, and noise up to 88 dB
