Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- Two (2) years of related work experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with office/campus management functions and coordination. Serves as a liaison between Campus Office, students, other College departments and the community. Keeps appointment calendars and schedules appointments; makes reservations and travel arrangements. Distributes incoming mail.
- Assists with customer service and provides relevant information to students, faculty, staff and the community. Responds to walk-in and online requests for services and receives and screens calls. Trains and supervises work-study students and assigned personnel.
- Coordinates the use of facilities and equipment, including reserving classrooms and conference rooms as requested by other College departments or community agencies. Assists with class scheduling. Assists with the coordination of special events and activities.
- Performs office tasks such as typing correspondence, schedules, documents, manuals, forms and related paperwork, setting up files and filing, preparing spreadsheets, faxing, e-mailing and photocopying.
- Assists with budget preparation and monitoring. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment for assign area and submits purchase requisitions as needed. Submits work orders as necessary to maintain facilities and equipment in good condition.
- Compiles information and data for periodic and special reports; performs research and retrieval of records; conducts statistical comparisons of information; sets up and maintains record system for area of responsibility. Gathers and submits as appropriate information for a roll in a timely manner.
- Attends departmental, staff and other professional meetings, as requested, to exchange information or take minutes.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Use of business machines, and/or equipment that require moderate instruction.
- Candidate should possess exemplary computer skills coupled with knowledge of peripherals and software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets or custom applications.
- Performs skilled work involving set procedures and solves frequent problems.
- Knowledge of College Policy and Procedures, acquaintance with College Forms along with their location and use.
- Performs administrative and technical tasks requiring a wide range of procedures and requiring intensive understanding of a restricted field or complete familiarity with the functions of a unit or small division of an operating agency.
- Attention to detail for accurate results, proper grammar and business letter composition skills, occasional exposure to unusual pressure.
- Aptitude for critical thinking and the ability to work independently.
