Required Qualifications : This position requires a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of two (2) years of recent and verifiable custodial building cleaning and floor maintenance experience with at least one (1) of those years being in a supervisory capacity is also required.
Candidate must have their own transportation to report to other college locations as assigned. A valid Florida Driver’s License is required to drive College vehicles when necessary.
Working Hours : Normal working hours are 2 : to : Monday through Friday, however various shifts and locations may be assigned based on the needs of the College.
Candidates must be able to report for additional hours, weekends, evenings, and / or holidays as needed and / or required.
Key Responsibilities : This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
Supervision and Evaluation :
oSupervise and evaluate assigned custodial employees.
oConduct building inspections and campus visits.
oTrain new employees on DSC equipment, safety protocols, and cleaning standards.
Daily Campus Supervision :
oOversee multiple campuses, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
oTravel frequently to campuses as per the schedule.
oManage and assign work order requests.
Custodial Tasks :
oPerform a variety of custodial duties in a higher education setting :
oClean classrooms, labs, offices, restrooms, gymnasiums, and amphitheaters.
o Address other assigned areas as directed.
- Requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting all the time, exerting at least pounds of force on a recurring basis.
- Be comfortable with exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures.
- Be able to follow oral and / or written communications.
- Have computer knowledge to be able to clock in / out and view other personnel related information paycheck, W-2, etc.).
