Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. The Fiber Technician will work closely with clients to ensure optimal performance of telecommunications systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fiber optic cables and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems.
- Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform tests and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Document all service activities, including repairs made and parts used.
- Collaborate with field service teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience using hand tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters for testing purposes.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technology and telecommunications systems.
- Strong communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in field service environments.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
