JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible to perform the equipment operation functions related to highway maintenance and repair as assigned. A $1000 Sign On bonus will be awarded to applicants who are hired until Sept 30, 2021
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate various forms of heavy highway equipment.
- Perform highway guardrail repair/maintenance activities.
- With equipment cleans and grades ditches, drainage structures, slopes.
- Repair work including, but not limited to, guardrail repairs, repair of fences, sign repair, and other highway activities.
- Use all equipment safely.
- Drive standard shift vehicles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess strong equipment operations skills.
- Have a current valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Must have transportation to and from Company office.
- Be able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.).
- Be able to drive manual transmission truck.
- Be able to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Be able to work overtime, nights and weekends.
- Minimum of Three years’ experience operating motor grader, backhoe/loader, skid steer and dump truck.
- Highway maintenance or construction skills are preferred.
- Must have experience working from a bucket truck and tree cutting
