What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Maintenance Technician position at DBI SERVICES?
The Maintenance Technician will work out of our Melbourne, Florida office and will report to the crew leader on a daily basis to fulfill work orders and perform preventative maintenance.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Debris and litter removal and clean-up
• Operate a Z-Turn Mower
• Operates a Weed Eater
• Repairs highway signage
• Branch removal and tree trimming
• Fence repair
• Accident response and clean up
• Driving various vehicles and operating a variety of access equipment and tools
• Performs other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to and from Company office
• Ability to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed
• Candidates must be able to respond to emergency scenarios and work unusual/unscheduled work shifts that will or may require availability on days, nights, holidays, weekends, etc.
