Position Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations of loan servicing and productivity. Provide quality service to members while servicing mortgage, consumer and commercial loans and lines of credit. Has oversight over insurance tracking, processing charge-offs & recoveries, new and renewed loan file reviews, file scanning, responses to loan inquiries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maximize productivity and eciency by coaching, training, and assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Provide recommendations for process improvements and train sta for optimal system utilization, loan processing, and member service.
- Serves as the primary centralized lending ocer for consumer loan decisions. Receives and evaluates member loan requests via the core processing system. Acts as a resource for information regarding loan decisions, member loan inquiries, and company lending products and services. Responsible to grant or deny loans within limits assigned and to provide the highest quality of service to our members attempting to maximize the number of service relationships the member has with the credit union.
- Research, resolve and respond to member disputes. Write correspondence to loan members as needed.
- Track property & casualty insurance on the loan portfolio. Monitors insurance exception reports from third party vendors and ensures insurance is maintained by member. Obtain and apply collateral protection insurance (CPI) to members' accounts and make necessary adjustments monthly.
- Review loan les to ensure complete documentation according to company and regulatory standards. Follows up on exceptions to complete file. Audit set up of loans on the loan servicing system.
- Coordinate internal and external audit preparations. Prepares quarterly reports for grant and funding requirements.
- Coordinates update of department procedure manual.
- Make action recommendations to manager as appropriate and assist with / delegate special projects as needed.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in loan operations and processing. Experience in working with loan servicing data processing
systems.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
College degree in related eld is preferred. A 2-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school requiring approximately 64 credit hours is acceptable.
