The Entry Level HR Assistant must have strong analytical skills, be detail oriented and thorough, as well as have excellent communication skills. This person must be able to work with a variety of people across a number of departments. This position requires exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced high-volume setting. They must be a team player who is willing to expand roles and go the extra mile.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process mid-year changes in benefit platforms and payroll systems
- Maintain data accuracy in benefit and payroll systems by adding and removing employees
- Assist with annual open enrollment meetings and process changes
- Coordinate background checks, MVRs, credit checks and drug tests
- Manage various employee recognition and appreciation programs
- Work alongside the fleet management team to maintain fleet vehicles
- Assist with job postings, offer letters, first day coordination, and HR onboarding processes
- Complete written and verbal employment verification requests
- Assist payroll with bi-weekly timesheet review and various benefit imports
- Maintain employee records
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex projects
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- The ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and able to interact with employees at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet concurrent deadlines, and organize time and priorities
- Experience with benefit and payroll systems is preferred
