The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.
Position Summary: The Operations Coordinator is a member of the Operations team, and is an integral support position for the overall operation of the DCCC. This role will work closely with all members of the Operations team and be supervised on a day- to- day basis by the Events & Operations Manager. Among other administrative tasks, this role will develop and keep a close relationship with committee vendors, help coordinate events at our HQ offices, process invoices and check requests, reconcile credit card statements, work with the rest of the Operations team to ensure the committee runs smoothly, and serves as a point of contact for staff on building needs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, detail oriented, collaborative, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships with committee vendors, processing invoices and sending weekly ACH confirmations of payments made;
- Reconciling monthly credit card statements for the Operations department;
- Reviewing and processing contracts for the COO and keeping up to date copies of all active and inactive contracts in the admin drive. Manages the process through to full execution;
- Assisting the Events and Operations Manager with internal staff meetings and all events happening in our HQ offices;
- Providing support for the Operations Assistant with New Hires and office and supply upkeep as needed;
- Assisting the Events and Operations Manager with assigning access or benefits through Docusign, Zoom, Uber, WMATA, parking or other platforms as needed;
- Managing the DCCC internship program - coordinating with all departments requesting interns, full cycle recruiting, creating front desk schedules, tracking attendance, leading orientation and planning and scheduling intern trainings and events;
- Serving as a point of contact for DCCC building(s) security and for staff, answering questions in a reasonable time frame and directing inquiries to appropriate points of contact when necessary;
- Supporting the COO and CAO with other duties as needed to ensure the success of the Operations team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 cycle of administrative and events experience; preferably in the political/campaign atmosphere;
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
