Position Overview
DCG is seeking a seasoned and confident Senior Designer to shape and implement the creative direction of a large public awareness campaign. This role involves working within a team of designers under the guidance and direction of an art director, contributing to a wide range of campaign materials across both print and digital mediums. Deliverables could include brochures, posters, infographics, exhibit materials, and billboards, as well as static and animated social media content, out-of-home (OOH) advertisements, digital banner ads, and animated explainer videos.
The ideal candidate is comfortable ideating and executing deliverables that align with the brand, style, and vision of the campaign while maintaining a strong focus on the target audience. The designer should have the ability to push creative boundaries while ensuring visual harmony within the campaign's established brand identity. While taking direction from an art director, this person should also be confident leading projects, owning deliverables, and, when necessary, speaking directly with clients. A portfolio of work samples (link or PDF) is required .
Location
While DCG will consider remote candidates for this role, there is a strong preference for candidates presently located within 50 miles of Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Create product design strategies supported by multiple formats / media including digital, print, and out-of-home
- Develop alternate versions of creative and products based on potentially divergent stakeholder requirements and shifting leadership priorities
- Develop infographics that highlight key initiatives, achievements, and upcoming events
- Ensure adherence to brand and style guidance while focusing on user experience
- Collaborate closely with Art / Creative Director to present ideas to and consult with stakeholders regarding strategic and tactical elements of campaigns
- Stay informed on industry trends and proactively suggests innovative ideas for future work
- Support and mentor junior designers to foster skill development within the creative team
