DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ donation and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are seeking a Performance Improvement Specialist. The Performance Improvement Specialist assists in identification and delivery of performance improvement initiatives throughout DCI Donor Services. Facilitates targeted performance improvement activities using improvement tools and methodologies including Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma and Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) to deliver measurable impact on organizational goals. This position supports DCIDS by analyzing and utilizing operational and other data to guide performance improvement activities within the organization.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
- Coordinates with management and departmental staff to identify and evaluate opportunities for performance improvement initiatives that lead to a positive and measurable impact on organizational goals.
- Design and implements performance improvement initiatives to improve outcomes, optimizes the use of organizational resources, and maintain organizational alignment.
- Acts as a resource and engages DCIDS staff in developing and implementing improvement projects in their departments.
- Leads improvement initiatives and facilitates the development of problem-solving projects and process change. Regularly reports on the status of projects and related impact.
- Works collaboratively with the Business Intelligence team on data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure project selection and goals are data driven.
- Maintains a working knowledge of industry regulations and standards and ensures that improvement initiatives align with DCIDS SOPs, processes, and training.
- Participates in national and industry specific meetings/conferences, networks with process improvement professionals, shares best practices, tools, and materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
- Certification in Quality Management and/or Process Improvement methods required (e.g. LEAN, Six-Sigma, ASQ, IHI, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in process improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading organizational process improvement initiatives with favorable outcomes.
- Skilled at data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled at multi-tasking, strong attention to details and ability to meet deadlines.
