DCI, a leading company in the woodworking industry, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Administrator to join our team. This mid-level position plays a crucial role in our operations by assisting the Operations Manager with the flow of inbound and outbound cargo to our installation sites.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be strongly organized and able to communicate with the multiple parties involved in the transportation or our materials to our installation sites.
- Negotiate and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies.
- Determine the most efficient method of shipment and prepare necessary shipping documents.
- Track and monitor the delivery progress of shipments, providing timely updates to relevant parties.
- Estimate and record shipment costs and weights.
- Analyze shipping information to make strategic routing decisions.
- Reserve necessary space on various transportation modes.
- Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving goods.
- Prepare trucks for shipment using Max Load Pro.
- Some home based weekend work may occasionally be required however the position is located in Lisbon, NH.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics management.
- Medium to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with MaxLoad Pro or similar pallet layout software.
The Logistics Administrator position offers a competitive compensation of $23/hr. plus overtime.
