What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at DCI?
Inventory Control Specialist:
The primary focus of this position will be to monitor and improve transactional integrity of DCI inventory to maintain an accurate inventory count. Responsible for ensuring Inventory Control Associates day to day output of counts are reconciled. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels and departments of a manufacturing organization. This will include data entry, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, assisting with cycle counts, and training department leads on processes related to inventory control.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but not limited to):
- Month End Duties – including updating counts, monthly reports, etc. The Inventory Control Specialist is required to stay until all supply chain duties are complete for the month.
- Manage DCI’s daily cycle count program
- Lead Annual Physical Inventory
- Reconcile adjustments from physical inventory
- Work with material handling staff to ensure integrity of inventory to support orders
- Assist with Inventory Cycle Counting functions
- Investigate inventory shortages and discrepancies
- Track and perform root cause analysis on inventory adjustments
- Identify areas of improvement and work with Manager on sustainable corrective actions
- Setup and maintain kanban cards

- A degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience required.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- MRP/ERP system experience or database management a requirement, Aptean Intuitive experience preferred.

Work Schedule:
- Ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed.
- Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected.
- No more than 40 unexcused hours per calendar year

Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour
