VACANCY NOTICE
TITLE: Curriculum and Staff Development Coordinator – Behavioral Excellence Focus
LOCATION: Support Services Center, Norwich, NY
REPORTS: Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services
TERMS: Full-time, 12 months
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a valid Permanent or Professional teaching certificate and at least three years
of satisfactory teaching experience, or a valid Initial, Provisional, Permanent or
Professional certificate and an educational degree(s) beyond the baccalaureate level
that qualifies an individual to be competent to deliver instructional support services in
Student Behavioral Excellence. Experience as a teacher, experience with staff
development, instructional coaching, needs assessment design and curriculum
improvement activities and working with teams; expertise in presentations to teachers
and administrators and training desired. Knowledge of research-based best practices in
behavioral supports and instruction, current NYS behavioral guidance, Social-Emotional
Learning curriculum and related assessment strategies; data driven instruction, teacher
and leader effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES/
DUTIES:
Selected candidate will provide leadership in programs, practices, and activities leading
to the improvement of student outcomes, primarily through curriculum and staff
development activities, and coaching and training teachers and school administrators.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of resources and
information on current educational research and practice, instructional coaching, and for
conducting workshops and sessions in best practices in instruction and assessment.
SALARY/BENEFITS: Starting salary $70,400 - $97,900 and benefits based on BOCES Administrators
Association (BAA) contract
