Principal Responsibilities:
Title: Curriculum and Child Development Manager
Reports to: Early Childhood Education Director
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:15 am-5:45pm (Flexible to be less hours)
Status: Full-time hourly, non-exempt
Exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Early Childhood Curriculum and Child Development Manager at Binghamton JCC! The Curriculum and Child Development Manager is instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of our early childhood program which includes infant, toddler, pre-school, and UPK classes.We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual who is dedicated to nurturing a positive learning environment for our students.
The successful candidate will be proficient in curriculum development, managing behavior issues, logistics and scheduling, JCC and state guidelines.They will support the Director with staff development, events, and elevating our school. Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership
- Support the Early Childhood Education Director to motivate, engage and develop a strong team of diverse early childhood educators.
- Serve as Site Supervisor from 3-5:30pm daily as well as in absence of Director.
- Contribute to strategic planning of the early childhood programs, suggesting and leading innovative ideas to enhance program quality and efficiency

Customer Service
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all families and children enrolled in ECE Departments, youth and camp programs, staff, officers, board members, donors, and professional staff from other agencies.
- Assess and maintain digital platform messages, concerns, and needs.

Administration
- Answer department phone calls/outreach to families both current and prospective
- Oversee the logistical aspects of the early childhood programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with state and local regulations
- Attend and provide support at JCC-wide events including, but not limited to: Purim Carnival, Golf Tournament, Gala, Open Houses, etc.

Curriculum Development and Supervision
- Support and enhance our child centered, played, developmentally appropriate curriculum and practices.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor teachers including regular classroom observations, one-on-one reflections, curriculum coaching, and approval of weekly lesson plans.
- Willingness to enhance and improve classroom use of Creative Curriculum Program
- Openness to learning Jewish culture, values, and traditions to support our environment of inclusivity based on Jewish values.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field preferred. Associate degree with a plan of study accepted.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred
- Strong understanding of child development, behavior management strategies, and OCFS guidelines.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, families, and children.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
