The position of Facilities Engineer requires a graduate degree in engineering from an accredited college or university. Ten (10) years or more of relevant experience and registration as a professional engineer in the state of California is preferred. This position is responsible for pipeline and process equipment projects associated with DCOR offshore oil and gas platform production and onshore processing facilities. These duties of the Facilities Engineer will include but not be limited to :
- Provide engineering design, calculations, and project management
- Provide direct oversight to ensure that pipeline and related control equipment at all DCOR facilities remains efficient and reliable
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal agency regulations and laws and compliance with all permits issued to DCOR by the respective agencies
- Undertake in-depth analyses / studies to troubleshoot problems and identify short and long-term solutions and / or options
- Review supplier information and assist with specification, inspection and testing of equipment
- Prepare budgets and plans for specific projects, studies, or modifications, and manage the cost control process.
- Provide direct technical support for and oversight to the DCOR operations, maintenance and construction field teams and any third-party contractors required at DCOR facilities
- Provide support to maintain and update Programs, Plans, and Manuals in compliance with 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195
- Monitor the performance of pipeline systems-related instrumentation, automation, communication, and leak detect systems
- Review and evaluate all pipeline ILI and other survey reports
- Update pipeline specific information and calculate and verify the MAOP for all pipelines as required by the Company's IMP
- Update and improve the Company's existing GIS mapping system for all pipeline routes
- Comply with all DCOR policies in the performance of duties
- Report to and perform other duties as periodically requested by the Company's Engineering Manager
- Make decisions on behalf of DCOR and represent the company to outside parties and agencies.
- Report to management on a regular basis in both written and verbal form as requested, providing status on projects and activities, and to provide advice and recommendations to management on issues and projects that will commit company assets.
