What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ancillary Field Manager position at DCPS?
DCPS is seeking a Landscape Enhancement Production Manager to be responsible for seeing that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality, while maintaining an emphasis on safety at each work site.
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of landscaping professionals, including foremen and laborers.
- Maintain an efficient and safe environment for crew members in the yard and at the job site.
- Provide knowledge and training for crew members to be successful at completing each assigned task.
- Review and evaluate each project prior to executing the work.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure landscape installations are performed per specification and standards.
- Coordinate and ensure crews have the equipment, tools, and materials needed to complete each job.
- Tracking job related costs, including – hours, materials, and equipment used.
- Monitor and provide updates regarding project progress, making adjustments as necessary to address any delays or issues.
- Identify any potential issues early and implement corrective actions.
- Inspect equipment with an emphasis on safe usage and longevity.
- Inspect materials to ensure quality of product for each installation.
Job Requirements:
- 5 years of prior production experience in landscape construction or similar field.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of landscape construction processes and practices.
- Experience managing multiple crews at once.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans.
- Strong abilities in communication, record keeping, and employee relations.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish (reading and writing).
