About Us:
We are a growing construction company seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Controller to work in tandem with the CFO to oversee our financial operations. This role requires not only strong accounting expertise but also leadership, communication, and process-scaling abilities as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) collections and Accounts Payable (AP) reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate financial processing.
- Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting, job-costing, and journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to support financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with payroll accounting, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Leverage Excel and accounting software to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Identify, implement, and document scalable accounting processes to support company growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to streamline financial operations.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to company leadership, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Provide guidance and leadership to accounting staff as the team grows.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, construction accounting, and job costing.
- Experience with payroll accounting, taxes, and reconciliations.
- Ability to lead financial process improvements and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, growing company environment.
