Position Overview:
DDC Public Affairs is sourcing for a public affairs professional to join our dynamic digital team as an Account Director. The Account Director on DDC’s Public Affairs team leads and manages digital initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience leading digital strategies within the Public Affairs space and is adept at business development. They have a deep understanding of digital media strategies, and a proven track record of leading impactful campaigns that support clients’ objectives. This is a hybrid role and staff are expected to report to our Washington, DC office three days a week, at a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies that support clients' communications goals, ensuring alignment with overall reputational objectives.
- Oversee client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic counsel on digital initiatives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email marketing, and paid media.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on agency initiatives and media strategies.
- Manage and/or mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
- Manage and track clients’ digital campaign budgets.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities, participating in pitches, and expanding existing client relationships.
- 5 years of experience in digital communications, public affairs, or a related field, with agency experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or a related discipline, preferred.
- Knowledge of the public affairs, politics, issue advocacy and communications landscape
- In-depth knowledge of digital media platforms, tools, and trends, with a strong understanding of how to leverage them in public affairs campaigns.
- Experience with paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn), campaign management tools, and social media tools (Hootsuite, Talkwalker, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and present complex information clearly.
