Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the collection of samples and data, ensuring adherence to laboratory procedures and standards. This position requires a strong understanding of various laboratory techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Collector will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of samples while following strict protocols. The hours for this listing are ONLY the last Friday of each month from 9:00AM-3:00PM. Other assignments in the area, including jail collections as needed, can become available if things work out well in this specific office.
Responsibilities
- Collect genetic testing samples following established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all samples collected.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and data accuracy.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laboratory or phlebotomy setting is preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures
- Experience with DNA collection techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
