Position Summary
This position will serve as an integral part of the program team and is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, and day-to-day management of staff within the department. This role involves ensuring optimal staffing levels, maintaining employee performance, and providing support to staff members to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure that staffing levels are in line with the company’s needs and budgetary constraints.
· Assist in managing staffing costs by ensuring that shifts are filled efficiently, minimizing overtime, and balancing part-time and full-time staff as needed.
· Monitor absenteeism and manage staffing shortages by adjusting schedules or arranging for temporary staffing.
· Supervise and provide guidance to staff, ensuring that they are meeting performance expectations and following company policies.
· Address performance issues, coach employees, and provide constructive feedback to ensure ongoing improvement.
· Ensure that new hires receive adequate training and orientation.
· Coordinate ongoing staff development programs, workshops, or skill-building sessions to improve employee performance and engagement.
· Collaborate with other departments or teams to ensure staffing needs are aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
· Communicate effectively with management to address staffing challenges and resolve any issues quickly.
· Ensures staff performance is reviewed identifying both strengths and areas of concerns using multiple tools including reviews and appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with policy.
· Attends and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, in-services, and competency-based trainings.
· Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures.
· Reports instances of abuse in accordance with specified guidelines in the abuse policy.
· Other duties as assigned.
