About DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE) : DDSE is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas / civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety. The Engineering Assistant Project Manager role is a multifaceted position that will provide project support for our Land Development, Utilities Engineering, and Survey teams. This position will serve as the administrative hub for these various teams. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual that can work well both in a team as well as an individual contributor. This individual must also be able to work well in a deadline driven environment and have excellent time management and organizational skills. Design Ticket creation and tracking, permit coordination, project file management, quote letters preparation, packaging drawings, billing and job cost tracking. Engineering Assistant Project Manager Pay Range : $22-30 / hour Benefits : Health, Dental, and Vision Plans 401K with match Paid Time Off (PTO) Life and AD&D coverage Short and Long-Term Disability HSA and or FSA Accounts Comprehensive Training Programs Primary Duties and Responsibilities Design Ticket creation, tracking, and permit coordination Project file management Preparation of quotation letters Packaging drawings Billing and job cost tracking Download, organize and document new gas service information from SAP Gather record plans from other utilities through 811 requests Interact with clients for hi / lo pressures and metering information Assemble digital job packets and prepare quote letters Log services into Excel and distribute to field planners Assist field planners by scheduling appointments through outlook Interact daily with customers including homeowners, developers, and builders Process permits for new services and manage the coordination and tracking of individual agency permits Assist with the creation of work orders and the final processing of new gas services Track the status of all gas service requests Assist in the preparation of monthly invoices Skills and Experience Required High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field 2 – 4 years related administrative and project coordination experience Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Punctual, reliable and a team player Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills Preferred Prior experience working in a Civil Engineering environment or a public utility An associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing Project management skills Previous permitting experience DDS is an equal opportunity employer.
