Reporting to the CNO, The Acute Care Pharmacist Director role involves coordinating pharmacy services through open and active communication with medical, nursing, and other hospital staff, both through individual contact and participation in key committees, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Opiate Stewardship, and Medication Safety. These responsibilities are fulfilled through personal actions, effective delegation, and collaborative efforts with other healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities include :
Policy and Procedure Management : Regularly review, revise, monitor, and implement policies and procedures to enhance the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Budget Management : Prepare the annual budget, anticipate budget increases due to new therapeutic agents, and monitor departmental operations to stay within budgetary limits.
Personnel Administration : Oversee personnel functions, including performance evaluations, salary adjustments, counseling, disciplinary actions, staffing schedules, and staff development.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all necessary records and documentation are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and hospital policies, such as narcotic control, tax-free alcohol records, purchasing and receiving documents, quality assurance, and JCAHO documentation.
Operational Support : Assist with the distributive and clinical functions of the department.
Inventory Management : Coordinate and adhere to inventory management and supply chain initiatives in collaboration with Material Management.

Requirements :
- Must be a graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Idaho
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) experience
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of (Acute Care) hospital pharmacy experience (as staff Pharmacist or low level leader), hospital should have at least 125 beds
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of director-level experience
