ENGLISH TEACHER – De SMET JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL

De Smet Jesuit high School invites applications for the position of English Teacher. This position is responsible for teaching students how to comprehend, think, speak, and write clearly, cogently, and effectively through the study of great literature and writing. The De Smet Jesuit High School English Department provides a college preparatory curriculum that creates an understanding of the human condition by exploring Ignatian values and ideals through the study of various literary genres. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related area, experience teaching at the secondary level, and be able to demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Candidates with a Master’s degree or higher in English or Literature and experience teaching college credit/AP courses will be preferred. Pay may be higher or lower than really estimates based on candidate's background.
