This position's primary purpose is to support the Office of Data Analytics. Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. Applicants must meet the Basic Requirements AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.
Basic Qualification Requirements Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR)
A. Degree : Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
B. Combination of education and experience : Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
Specialized Experience Required.
GS-14 : One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties :
- Leading and directing projects, studies, and assessments of data collection methodologies;
- Overseeing the collection, analysis, and strategies used to organize information in data systems;
- Developing models, trends, and visualizations of data to make efficient decisions;
- Conducting technical reports and presentations to convey the use of data gathering.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
