Job Summary
The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Exercise Specialist performs a variety of clinical and technical tasks to create and maintain an optimal environment for the testing, training, and education of cardiac and pulmonary patients. They will serve as an advocate/coach to work with individuals who have or are at risk for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease. Exercise Specialists will be working with patients who have had recent cardiac or pulmonary events. Will use evidence-based practice when providing direct patient care while working on both the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab departments.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or similar (Kinesiology, PTA/OTA, sports medicine, etc.)
- Prefer a candidate who has experience in cardiac rehab or personal training, but not required
- Prefer a candidate who is certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) or ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), but not required
