SUMMARY OF THE JOB
Assist in planning and coordination of the strategic development, implementation, deployment and operations of clinical application systems and clinical technology solutions that meet organizational initiatives and strategies. Coordinate support and development of tools necessary to improve quality and efficiency of patient care within the organization. Develop and drive efficiencies within CIDA services and project delivery. Lead and mentor analyst teams as they support CIDA initiatives for our organization and customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned :
- Works with other CIDA leadership to develop strategic initiatives to implement clinical applications solutions.
- Collaborates with operational leaders to develop recommendations for clinical application uses by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating future needs.
- Develops financial and budgetary skills by forecasting requirements as they relate to clinical applications-specific projects, assists in preparing annual budget, maintaining responsibility for individual team expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities within the clinical applications teams.
- Enforces organizational standards and key performance metrics within the realm of clinical applications for the organization.
- Develops leadership skills and technical knowledge by attending conferences, workshops, and webinars; regularly reviews professional publications for trends and advances in the realm of Health Information Technology; establishes personal networks both in and outside of the organization; develops skills in benchmarking with outside organizations to cultivate state-of-the-art practices.
- Mentors team members to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
- Develops opportunities for improvement and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.

Strives to continuously expand knowledge and skillset; shares that expertise with others.Estimating - Ability to utilize technical and financial knowledge to develop estimates as needed to complete projects, execute strategic initiatives, initiate problem resolution, and development of new clinical technology as indicated by organizational and customer needs.Design - Works with operational and CIDA leadership to develop solutions which maximize utilization of HIT available to our customers and patients. Has ability to create visualizations to demonstrate workflows and to present those solutions to customers in a meaningful venue. Works with customers from various areas within the organization to develop definition of problems and solutions and demonstrates strong ability to facilitate this work utilizing a variety of tools (Lean Methodology, Brainstorming, Gantt Chart development, etc.).Change Management - Demonstrates understanding of organizational change management processes and executes appropriate procedures. Applies analytical skills to current processes to constantly evaluate potential opportunities for improvement.Quality of Work - Understands and demonstrates the importance of accuracy and thoroughness in testing of changes and implementation of new clinical application functionality. Ensures all changes have been evaluated for potential impact to stability of critical environments and always mitigates that risk as much as possible.Innovation - Displays an innovative attitude and desire to improve processes within the enterprise. Applies curiosity and drive for improvement to innovative endeavors and understands that pushing for innovation is often unsuccessful initially and requires multiple iterations to lead to ultimate improvement.JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required.5 years of relevant HIT and / or clinical experience preferred.Computer Science or Healthcare Informatics preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed Health Care Professional in applicable state preferred.Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, andprocedure manuals.
