Job Summary:

Dead Horse Branding is seeking a talented and creative Creative Social Media and Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role combines graphic design, social media marketing, marketing and content capturing/ editing. As part of our creative and marketing team, you will help craft visually appealing designs, manage social media platforms, edit content for various channels and be a savvy marketer. You’ll be integral in ensuring our brand message is consistent, fresh, and impactful across all platforms of the company and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:Graphic Design:

  • Assist in the creation of original visual content for various platforms, including websites, social media, emails, advertisements, and print materials.
  • Design graphics that align with the Dead Horse Branding aesthetic and client requirements.
  • Edit and modify designs based on feedback and brand guidelines to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and execute design concepts.

Social Media Marketing:

  • Manage and schedule social media posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms.
  • Help develop creative social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Track and report on social media performance using analytics tools to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Create content weekly.
  • Create monthly content plans and ideas.
  • Edit content.

Content Editing:

  • Edit and proofread content for blogs, website pages, social media posts, press releases, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Ensure that all content is aligned with brand voice, tone, and messaging.
  • Help maintain a content calendar to keep marketing efforts consistent and on schedule.
  • Edit and deliver content.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with marketing campaigns and pitch concepts.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks and other marketing-related projects as needed.
  • Help maintain and organize a digital library of assets including photos, videos, and design files, google-sheets and more.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in design, social media, and marketing.
  • Manage your project management software ASANA.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree or coursework in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous paid internship or entry-level position in graphic design, social media marketing and overall marketing.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other design tools.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, content management systems, and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and content management systems (WordPress, WIX) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applications like CANVA, OPUS, LEONARDO, PREMIERE, FINAL CUT PRO.
  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is needed.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • A keen eye for design and attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong marketing ideas and concepts.
