What You’ll DoAs Summer Camp Support Staff or Camp Coordinator, you’ll help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where kids thrive. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting the administrative team with camper movement and supply deliveries.
- Escorting campers to and from key locations such as the nurse’s office, carpool, classrooms, and lunchroom.
- Managing late arrivals and early pickups.
- Transporting supplies and snacks to classrooms as needed.
- Supporting before and aftercare by supervising flexible pick-up/drop-off times, setting up, and packing activity stations.
- Assisting with classroom setup, maintaining break schedules, and other site operations.
- Helping alleviate administrative workload by handling essential runner tasks.
- Maintaining positive relationships with site partners and acting as a professional camp representative.
- Reporting issues to the Site Director and assisting with resolutions.
- This position is ideal for high school students ages 17-18 looking to gain leadership experience and build their resumes.
- Experience working with kids (camps, teaching, coaching, babysitting, etc.).
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills—you think on your feet.
- Strong leadership and communication—you engage, inspire, and guide.
- Organized and proactive—keeps track of schedules, ensures campers are where they need to be, and efficiently manages tasks assigned by the administrative team.
- Tech-savviness (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a high-energy camp setting.
- June–August (exact dates vary by location)
- Monday–Friday, 7-8 hour shifts
- Shift options: 7:30 AM–2:30 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Must be fully vaccinated and up to date on all immunizations.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs, respond quickly to emergencies, and work in an active, outdoor environment.
- Paid training (18–20 hours, including leadership, classroom management, and DEI).
- All required background checks and certifications fully reimbursed.
- Summer Commitment Bonus: Earn an additional $50 per week for working six or more weeks with no absences.
