Deblin, Inc. is a heavy highway construction contractor in the greater Harrisburg Area seeking a skilled Crane Operator. As a Crane Operator, you will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cranes on construction sites. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in heavy equipment operation alongside premium skills in mechanical knowledge and commercial driving. Your role will involve rigging and driving cranes while adhering to OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. With relevant experience in operating various construction machinery, you will contribute significantly to project success and the overall productivity of our team. Job Description

• Facilitate smooth crane operation through controlled and precise boom and load line management to enable the safe and accurate placement of piles and loads
• Requires collaboration with Foreman, Pile Drivers, Welders, Helpers, Laborers, and other skilled craft team members.
• Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators
• Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, including working overtime to complete tasks, operating several types of equipment and training, or monitoring junior operators.
• Must maintain a current Load Chart and Operations Manual within the crane cab at all times
• Demonstrate Load Chart proficiency on various crane configurations and load chart usage, all in the language of the manufacturer’s instruction manual.
• Correct selection of rated rigging (slings, cables, straps, blocks, hooks, shackles, etc.) and the crane appurtenances prior to lifting operations with assurances that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged.
• Must possess the ability to operate various mobile cranes safely with minimum supervision while being able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of crane operation characteristics, controls, emergency skills, response to fire, power line contact, tipping, malfunction characteristics and performance questions about the specific crane types in use.
• The Crane Operator will be responsible for all safety aspects of operating the equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
