Overhead Crane Operator/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and other lifting equipment to move materials within our warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The Crane Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Duties

• Operate cranes and other lifting equipment to move heavy materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on crane equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and materials.
• Assist with order picking and loading/unloading of materials as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate material handling tasks effectively.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment.
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Experience

• Previous experience operating cranes or similar heavy machinery is required.
• Familiarity with materials handling processes, including order picking and forklift operation, is preferred.
• Experience using cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems will be beneficial for tracking inventory efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards are essential for this role.
