Summary:
- The Maternal Health Advocate serves as the first line of care for patients, focusing on perinatal and postpartum mental health conditions as well as social determinants of health (SDOH). Their responsibilities include Patient Screening, Patient Guidance and Patient Advocacy.

Work Schedule:

Must be able to work non-standard hours and may be in excess of 40 hours per week.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education
-
High School Diploma or GED required. Decatur County resident.

Experience
-
One year Healthcare, Community, or Public Health. Some experience and knowledge of maternity and postpartum care.

Computer Skills
- Email and basic computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications. Knowledge in using electronic medical records and other databases.
- Certificates & Licenses
-
Training pathways would include, Community Health Worker, Birth or Postpartum Doula, Peer Support Specialist, Medicaid Redetermination and Stepped Care Model with Mental Health lens.
