- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their upcoming visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care by communicating effectively with healthcare providers and staff.
- Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services, procedures, and office policies.
- Process patient forms and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support billing processes by verifying insurance eligibility and collecting payments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve office efficiency and patient flow.
Experience
- Previous experience in an office environment is required; experience in a medical office is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
