Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our US Transportation Command - Global Transportation Planning and Groups Operational Passenger Systems (GTP) (GOPAX) team. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and management of the contract. This includes overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance, while serving as the primary point of contact for both management and technical matters. The role requires close collaboration with government stakeholders, contractor personnel, and other key partners to ensure the successful completion of all tasks in accordance with the Program Work Statement (PWS). Additionally, the Senior Program Manager leads the contractor team in developing management plans, roadmaps, and status reports, and ensures that all deliverables are submitted on time and meet quality standards. The role also includes overseeing the transition process, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
This position is onsite at Scott AFB.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership in the planning, direction, coordination, and control necessary to accomplish all tasks in the PWS, including cost, schedule, and performance management.
- Serve as the main point of contact for both management and technical matters, working closely with government stakeholders and contractor personnel to ensure successful execution.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Task Order Management Plan (TOMP), detailing the technical approach, milestones, risks, and resource allocation. Submit the TOMP in both narrative and graphic formats.
- Collaborate with the Government Technical Product Owner to maintain and update the product roadmap using Jira Advanced Roadmaps. Ensure new system capabilities, functionality changes, system maintenance, and product upgrades are planned and tracked for the next three sprints.
- Organize and lead the KOM, presenting project plans, management strategies, and schedules for review and approval by the Government. Capture and submit meeting minutes and action items to the Government within five (5) business days.
- Provide detailed MSRs using the provided ALM tool (e.g., Confluence). MSRs shall include task performance updates, risks, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), technical accomplishments, and planned activities. Track and report on help desk calls, artifacts received, and actions taken during the reporting period.
- Oversee the transition phase-in and phase-out processes to ensure seamless continuity of operations. Provide all necessary materials, working files, and lessons learned to ensure a smooth transition to the incoming contractor.
- Support configuration management activities, including maintaining baselines, versioning, change control, configuration audits, and repository management. Ensure processes align with Government standards.
- Assist in maintaining and updating hardware inventory accountability for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Lead the contract closeout process, documenting lessons learned, providing in-progress working files, and submitting transition plans.
