What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Scientist position at Decisive Intelligence Inc?
- Providing data science-rooted analysis in support of the Army's annual POM development and defense.
- This includes but is not limited to developing digital applications and analyses using modern programming languages and data visualization tools in support of POM planning, POM build, and Program budget review.
- Serving as the senior team data scientist providing responsive and independent analysis to inform, influence, and synchronize requirements, data, and programming for the development of the Program Objective Memorandum.
- Developing data science applications that address specific organizational needs, such as improving insights into programs, optimizing operations within the directorate, or enhancing decision-making processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.
15 years of relevant experience.
A master's degree in a non-STEM field.
Programming experience in R or Python with a specific emphasis on data analysis frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, Tidyverse)
Programming experience in data visualization frameworks (Shiny, Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, ggplot2) and SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle)
Familiarity coding in (Python, R, VS Code, Microsoft Suite (Power BI, Power Apps, VBA), SQL
Data analytic skills (Simulations, Basic descriptive statistics, and Visualizations)
Personal skills (Ability to brief senior leaders, Ability to learn on the job and seek out unique opportunities to broaden themselves and the unit)
Comparative analytics (parametric and non-parametric)
Campaign analysis and course of action recommendations
Decision support tools and dashboards
Data wrangling and management
