Position Summary : The Court Service Coordinator for Drug and Recovery is responsible for overseeing and managing cases within a drug court or recovery court setting. This role involves coordinating with treatment providers, monitoring participant progress, managing case documentation, and ensuring compliance with court orders. The coordinator works to facilitate successful rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals into the community.

Key Responsibilities :

Case Management :

Coordinate the scheduling and management of drug court hearings, treatment sessions, and other related appointments.

Maintain and update case files, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.

Track participant progress, including treatment milestones, compliance with court orders, and any setbacks.

Support and Advocacy :

Serve as a liaison between the court, treatment providers, and participants, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Provide information and support to participants regarding court procedures, treatment options, and resources available for recovery.

Assist participants in accessing additional services such as housing, employment, and counseling as needed.

Administrative Duties :

Prepare and process court documents related to drug and recovery cases, including progress reports, compliance notices, and case summaries.

Handle correspondence with participants, treatment providers, and legal representatives regarding case matters.

Monitoring and Compliance :

Monitor participants' adherence to court orders and treatment plans, including attending mandated sessions and submitting required reports or drug tests.

Address any non-compliance issues and work with participants to develop plans for corrective action.

Collaboration and Coordination :

Collaborate with treatment providers, probation officers, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to participant recovery.

Facilitate coordination of multidisciplinary teams to address participants' needs holistically.

Reporting and Documentation :

Prepare regular reports on participant progress, program effectiveness, and any issues for review by judges and other court officials.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all case-related activities and updates.

Community Outreach :

Engage with community organizations and resources to build partnerships that support participants’ recovery and reintegration.

Promote awareness of drug court programs and recovery services within the community.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or a related field is preferred. A degree or specialized training in addiction or recovery counseling is advantageous.

Experience : Experience in a social services, counseling, or legal support role, especially in drug courts or related programs, is highly desirable.

Skills :

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in office software and case management systems.

Knowledge of addiction treatment, recovery processes, and related legal issues.
