Overview:
DeCoach Recovery Centre is seeking a dedicated individual to assume the role of Security Lead and Support for the Driver's Intervention Program. This program focuses on supporting individuals with impaired driving offenses. This candidate will oversee security operations and oversee participants during monthly weekend shifts at a local hotel to ensure compliance with program regulations.
Responsibilities:
Security Oversight:
- Supervise security operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of program participants.
- Ensure clients are abiding by program rules.
- Conduct regular patrols and checks to maintain a secure environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances.
- Collaborate with counseling staff to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
Program Support:
- Collaborate with program supervisors to implement and enforce program guidelines.
- Help director with client check-in and assisting with room assignments.
- Sort and organize paperwork.
- Monitor medication of clients.
- Communicate effectively with program participants, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.
- Document any incidents, violations, or notable observations.
- Provide regular reports to program supervisors on security and program-related matters.
- Collaborate with security staff and other team members for a cohesive program approach.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and program coordinators to address participant needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in security or a related field is required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a client-supportive role.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Understanding of the sensitive nature of recovery programs and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
