What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Metal Fabricator - must be TIG proficient w/5 yrs experience (no pipe-fitters) position at Decorative Metal Arts?
Metal fabricator wanted for custom shop specializing in Architectural work.
We are seeking a fabricator that can build to close tolerances, keeping in mind the finish and the process to achieve it.
An ideal candidate cares about the work they do and has an eye for detail.
Qualified Applicants must be able to:
- Build to precise standards.
- Must be proficient in TIG welding.
- Able to use a grinder to blend welds without gouging base material.
- Have excellent sanding and finishing skills.
- Build from drawings or sketches.
- Work with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Work as a member of a team as well as individually.
- Work on job-sites to install projects.
- Problem solve both in-shop during fabrication and on-site during installation.
Wages are DOE.

NOTE: Our fabricators work four 10-hour days Monday - Thursday from 6am to 4:30 pm.
