Operations Manager

Job Summary
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and driving process improvements to enhance productivity and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in business development, project management, and strategic planning.

Duties

• Oversee activities directly related to providing Warehouse and trucking services.
• Direct and coordinate the operating activities of businesses or departments concerned with product production, pricing, sales, and distribution.
• Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
• Review activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Direct and coordinate operations and budget activities to increase efficiency.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with organization’s chain of command members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
• Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire, and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
• Assist in determining services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.
• Manage the movement of goods into and out of warehouse facilities.
• Locate, select, and procure merchandise supplies, representing management in purchase negotiations.
• Perform sales work such as greeting and assisting customers, attending meetings
• Develop and implement product handling strategies, including efficiency improvement campaigns and engineering controls.
• Plan and direct operating activities such as projects, coordinating with other department heads as required.
• Plan facility layouts and layout design changes to maximize space utilization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
