Job Summary:

Decypher Technologies, Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to drive the organization’s strategic growth objectives through developing and refining winning capture strategies and building teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, grow, and maintain the opportunity pipeline through diligent and timely identification and qualification of new business opportunities
  • Develop growth plans that align with the company’s strategic goals
  • Gather and synthesize market research, procurement history, and competitor data pertaining to targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies that maximize the value of that information.
  • Participate as a thought leader in bid decisions, gate reviews, solution and proposal development, and pricing strategy
  • Facilitate collaboration with partners, develop win themes, and participate in proposal writing and color team reviews
  • Perform research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements
  • Mentor Business Development team members and project managers

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well with competing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated success in growing business in the DoD and/or Federal Civilian agencies
  • 3 years of experience in business development/capture or proposal development/management for Federal healthcare, information technology, and/or other professional services
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, foster, and grow customer and partner relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
  • Knowledge of competitors and ability to evaluate relative strengths and competitive threats
  • Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated proposal writing experience
  • Experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers
  • Has led capture activities for at least 3 opportunities that used a tradeoff source selection evaluation methodology and had values >$10 million, including: developing overall win strategy, shaping deals with customers and partners, authoring proposal content, and participating in color team reviews
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
