Description
The Capture Proposal Manager will play a crucial role in creating compelling proposals, bids, and other documentation to secure new business opportunities. This position requires a talented individual who can effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, while also demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
2.1 Essential Position Functions
- Capture Management:
- Capture and win 25% RFP.
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including federal, state, and local government contracts.
- Collaborate with CEO, Executive Team, and Sales Team to identify government and non-government sources for business opportunity information (govwin, sam.gov, industry briefings, tradeshows, business websites, etc.).
- Analyze solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and assess requirements, risks, and strategic fit.
- Develop and execute capture plans, including competitive analysis, teaming strategies, and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape win strategies and differentiate proposals.
- Proposal Writing and Development:
- Lead the development of high-quality proposals, bids, and other documents in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and other solicitations.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand client needs, requirements, and preferences, as well as market trends, competitors, and industry best practices.
- Write and edit proposal content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand messaging and objectives. Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and insights and develop a competitive scope of work and project design.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create graphics and marketing materials (if required) to support business proposals.
- Develop strategic approaches for proposal submissions, including value propositions and differentiation strategies. Tailor proposals to address client pain points and demonstrate the unique value proposition of Team Housing Solutions’ products or services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify supporting data highlighting Team Housing Solutions’ project successes, wins, and value proposition relevant to funding opportunity.
- Manage proposal timelines and deadlines effectively, coordinating with internal teams to gather necessary information and meet submission requirements. Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals.
- Document Management:
- Maintain a library of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and other resources to streamline the proposal development process. Ensure all documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant team members.
- Quality Assurance:
- Review and proofread proposal documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with formatting and submission requirements. Conduct peer reviews and quality checks to minimize errors and improve the overall quality of proposals.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to proposal development and business development. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal writing process.
