DESCRIPTION:
Decypher is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to assist the Proposal Manager with the full complement of proposal development activities with a primary focus on Federal Government Contracting opportunities. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong desire and capacity to learn and take on new challenges. This position offers the opportunity to learn proposal development, management, and federal contracting best practices from some of the best in the industry. This position is a career builder and offers enormous advancement potential within Decypher (Proposal Coordinator --> Proposal Manager --> Senior Proposal Manager).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and manages low complexity proposals using best practices (e.g. Shipley)
- Drafts RFP/RFI questions
- Gathers re-use materials/content, as applicable, and prepare writers packages
- Helps organize and index proposal re-use materials/content
- Drafts, reviews, and refines proposal graphics
- Downloads, organizes, and files RFP/RFI documents
- Helps review proposal files/content for compliance with all RFP instructions and requirements
- Writes and refines proposal content
- Collaborates with, coaches, and issues writing assignments to technical SMEs and other contributors
QUALIFICATIONS
· 1 year of relevant work experience (preferably as a proposal coordinator, writer, or specialist) within the Federal contracting arena OR a bachelor's degree in business (or related field)
· Must have exceptional organizational and communication skills and attention to detail
· Must be capable of multi-tasking
· Mastery of MS Word and other Microsoft Office applications required to generate text, graphics, schedules, or charts
