ROLE:
Within Dedar US, as Inside Sales Associate, you will contribute to the successful operation of the DEDAR New York Showroom in terms of sales, service, and operational effectiveness.
You will build and maintain sales in NYC by consistently engaging with existing customers while identifying new opportunities and following up on potential leads. In addition, you will act as the company's brand ambassador, helping to increase DEDAR brand awareness.
Job Duties
Your main missions are:
- Increasing the number of known clients that visit the showroom with constant and proactive action (phone calls and emails). Researching actively new leads to expand the client database. Grow sales of the New York City territory. Manage sales by developing new and existing Dedar clientele. Fulfill databases on clients using our digital tools, and update to help all our marketing and communication activities
- Managing basic activities of the Dedar New York showroom, with the primary goal of presenting and selling company products and providing excellent service to current and potential clients that visit the showroom, ensuring a smooth and productive experience from the beginning of the sale to the delivery as well being involved in evaluating new business opportunities and new services to the company; maintaining regular contacts with customers
- A perfect knowledge of the collections from a stylistic and technical viewpoint. Supply customers with information on products marketed by the company. Present the collection with enthusiasm and feeling. Supply and quickly manage all memos for ongoing projects and samples for the library. You will maintain client libraries and sample stock, check for phased-out collections, and missing best-selling collections.
- Provide a prompt answer to customer requests and headquarter customer service office.
- Assisting clients in their projects (fabrics selection, mood board), following up on the projects (stock, reserve, offer), and closing the order.
- Handle general office duties and administrative/commercial aspects associated with the sales activities, assisting colleagues while busy and transmitting all necessary information. Lend support to customer service at the company headquarters in the administrative/commercial aspects regarding the clientele, including telephone, fax, and email contacts with customers, and writing and tracking of reserve orders and stock checks in Dynamics software. Use our set of web tools to help track day-to-day business.
Required Skills
- College Degree, preferably in a creative field, business, or marketing;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in either Design, fashion-related sales, or prior industry sales experience (preferably in mid-sides companies, well organized);
- Proactivity and positive attitude;
- Knowledge and passionate for textiles for interiors, luxury market, and architectural & arts world;
- Team working skills;
- Well-developed communication skills;
- Knowledge of Italian and/or French language is considered a plus;
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure;
- Computer and MS365 Office literate, ERP or CRM experience preferred.
