Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Business Analyst with EMR and HER experience to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee to join our team. You will :
- Serve as a BA for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) project.
- Gather business requirements, assessing products and procurement options, gathering costs estimates for budgeting purposes, and helping to build a proposal to seek funding for an Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/EHR procurement and implementation.
- Serve as a senior-level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in EHR and/or EMR, health informatics, and health IT, in requirements analysis and documentation, test case planning and testing, and in coordinating communication and project tasks.
- Act as a liaison between customer program areas and IT teams.
- Work with the client s SMES, application developers, and DBAs to achieve project objectives related to delivery dates, costs, quality, and program customer satisfaction objectives.
- Work on a transformation and transition from a current paper-based system to Electronic Health Records
- Report to the Health and Human Service (HHS) Delivery Center and the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) along with divisions and agencies within DOH.
- Work on a large-scale, complex effort that requires thorough upfront planning
- Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
- Work with SMEs to construct clinical workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities and writing specifications
- Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
- Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
- Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability
- Work with testing team to provide SME inputs to the testers and assist in testing when needed
- Assist with development of training documentation and prepare for and/or conduct training when needed
- Maintain documentation on project SharePoint site.
- Complete weekly timesheet reporting by close of business (COB) Friday.
- Provide weekly personal status reporting by COB Friday.
Required Skills and Experience:
- You must currently reside in the Harrisburg or surrounding area. Our client will not consider candidates who now live outside of that area.
- 7 years of experience as a business systems analyst
Experience working with stakeholders directly engaged with technical initiatives working with large complement of team members 7 years Four-year college degree or equivalent training and experience. EHR and/or EMR, health informatics, and health IT Creating workflows using formal notation such as Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies, such as JAD sessions or one-on-one interviews. Developing business requirements documents (BRDs) Developing project initiation documents. Developing functional requirements (FRDs) Developing user (stakeholder) requirements. Developing non-functional Quality of Service requirements Developing report specifications Developing Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) MS Office, Visio, software design tools SQL Strong organizational and writing skills.
