Special Events Manager/Part Time General Manager - Deep Blue in the Kitty Knight House
Jamestown Hospitality Group is a growing collection of restaurants and catering venues, that include Tonic Seafood and Steak, TBG Braeloch Brewing, Park Café, Juniper, Jamestown Catering, Giordano's and Deep Blue.
We are looking for a Special Events Manager to assist our team at Deep Blue in Galena, MD. This role would assist customers schedule private events at Deep Blue as well as be our Part Time General Manager for the restaurant with an average of 3 GM shifts per week. This would be a Full Time position between the two roles.

Duties
-Meet with customers who are interested in having a private event at Deep Blue.
-Go over pricing and menu options with customers interested in holding a private event at Deep Blue and oversee execution of each private event.
- Oversee daily operations of the hospitality department, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Manage and lead a team of hospitality staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving any issues or complaints that may arise
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of hospitality services with overall operations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospitality department
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to meet operational requirements
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all hospitality areas
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for hospitality staff and provide feedback for improvement
- Coordinate Inn reservations and guest check-in procedures
- Work with regional GM to implement any procedures or and coordinate special events
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
-Minimum of 2 years of a Sales Background
- Strong knowledge of alcohol handling
- Experience in team management, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Culinary background or experience in food service management is highly desirable
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Familiarity with Toast POS system or similar restaurant management software is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety protocols
