This individual will work under the guidance and direction of the Crew Leader.
Position Overview
The Mowing Crew Member will assist in maintaining lawns and landscapes for commercial and some residential properties. This role requires a team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is comfortable with physical, outdoor labor.
Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris.
- Safely operate and maintain basic lawn care equipment, including push mowers, ride-on mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and tools from trailers.
- Ensure properties are cleaned up and presentable after services are completed.
- Follow the instructions of the Crew Leader to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet company standards.
- Use proper safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Experience: Prior lawn care experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Transportation: Reliable means to get to and from the shop (work begins and ends at the shop daily).
- Safety Skills: Familiarity with operating lawn care equipment safely and efficiently.
Uniform and Dress Code
- A company-branded shirt and hat (provided by the company) must be worn during work hours.
- High-visibility vests may be required for certain tasks.
- Employees must wear long pants (jeans or khakis) and work boots.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay: Starting pay will be based on experience, with opportunities for increases based on performance and dedication.
- Paid Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Work Schedule
- Regular workweek: Monday through Thursday for lawn care services.
- May be required to assist with equipment maintenance or unfinished tasks on Fridays, as needed.
- Must be available for on-call emergency snow removal services during the winter months.
