Based in Austin, TX, we are a small but driven team that is passionate about hunting, fishing, and creating high-impact content for the outdoor community.

We are hiring a Full-Time Videographer & Editor – someone who is ready to build a career in the outdoor industry and join a startup digital media team that works exclusively with outdoor brands. This is a hands-on, full-time, in-house position based near Austin, TX. We are not hiring freelancers, agencies, or part-time contractors. We need a dedicated team member who can travel frequently, operate independently in the field, and produce top-tier outdoor video content and social media edits.

Position Overview – Videographer & Editor (Full-Time):
We are looking for a Junior-Level Videographer & Video Editor who will film, edit, and produce video content for Deer Camp Digital’s internal brands and external clients in the outdoor industry. This individual will be on the road capturing content at ranches, outdoor trade shows, hunting events, and more—as well as editing quick-turnaround videos for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This is a full-time employee position based in Austin, TX. Candidates must live within 45 minutes of Austin and be available for regular travel across Texas and the U.S. We need someone who wants to work for a startup, understands the demands of an outdoor marketing company, and is willing to wear multiple hats as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Film and produce outdoor video content for Deer Camp Digital and our clients in the hunting, fishing, and ranch industries.
• Edit and create high-quality videos optimized for social media platforms, including Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Work on-location at outdoor shoots, ranches, hunting trips, and trade shows across Texas and nationwide.
• Operate independently during content shoots, including interviewing brand partners and exhibitors at events.
• Ensure quick turnaround times on video edits to meet social media content schedules.
• Collaborate with our internal team and social media managers to create engaging outdoor marketing content.
• Travel as needed (sometimes on short notice) to capture hunting, fishing, and outdoor lifestyle content.
• Assist in building out our video production process as an early team member of the startup.
• Handle basic photography work as needed.
• Adapt to the startup environment—taking on various creative and production-related tasks when required.

Requirements:

• Full-Time Availability: This is not a freelance or part-time role. We need someone ready to commit full-time to Deer Camp Digital.
• Outdoor Industry Passion: Must love hunting, fishing, and the outdoor lifestyle. Familiarity with outdoor brands and outdoor content creation is a huge plus.
• Video Production Experience: Basic understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio, and video editing.
• Editing for Social Media: Must understand how to edit videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Portfolio Required: Candidates must provide a video portfolio showing outdoor, lifestyle, or brand work.
• Starter Equipment: Must own basic video equipment (camera, microphone, editing software, etc.) to hit the ground running.
• Location Requirement: Must live in Austin, TX, or within 45 minutes. We are not relocating candidates.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Texas and out-of-state as needed, often on short notice.
• Self-Starter: Ability to operate independently in the field without micromanagement.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a startup environment, where flexibility and a can-do attitude are essential.
