Job Description

Purpose: Independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer, as well as dealer-owned, turf equipment or other work as assigned by Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced diagnostics and repairs on consumer and commercial turf equipment as well as Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
• Service training programs for skill and knowledge development
• Maintenance of current knowledge on John Deere and competitive products
• Vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment condition
• A clean work area with neat and orderly performance
• Safety rules and regulations adherence
• Reports, forms, and tasks completion in conjunction with work assignments
• Time and material accounting according to dealership processes and business system
• Effective communication with manufacturers when necessary
• 90% or above recovery efficiency
• Field diagnosis and repair
• Delivery services when required
• Customer clinics conduct or support

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

• 5 years of professional experience in service repairs
• Advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in turf equipment repair
• Vehicle and equipment operation skills for diagnostic purposes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Service Advisor and basic computer functions proficiency
• Lifting ability of at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Ability to work extended/flexible hours, including some scheduled Saturdays
• Valid insurable driver's license required
